Program Description
AVA Foundation, in collaboration with the Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, facilitated the provision of modern medical equipment worth approximately ₹47 lakh to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Boko, Kamrup district, Assam. The initiative aims to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve access to quality medical services for the local community. A total of 18 items of advanced medical equipment were provided to enhance diagnostic and laboratory facilities, operation theatre services, maternity care, and dental healthcare at the centre. The equipment was supplied through the support and facilitation of AVA Foundation, contributing to improved healthcare facilities and better service delivery for patients in the region. A formal handover programme was organised to mark the occasion, attended by dignitaries and healthcare representatives, including Boko-Chaygaon MLA Raju Mech, Assistant CDC Raben Deuri, and RHAC Chairman Sonaram Rabha. Dr. Apurba Talukdar, Deputy Superintendent of Boko CHC, expressed his gratitude for the timely assistance, highlighting the importance of the equipment in strengthening the centre's healthcare services. Through this initiative, AVA Foundation reaffirms its commitment to community development and improved access to essential healthcare services. The collaboration demonstrates the positive impact of CSR partnerships in strengthening public healthcare infrastructure and supporting the well-being of underserved communities.
